This weekend we headed into Atherton for the Classisc Car Show held at the school grounds on the Gillies Hwy.

For a small town it has a thriving classic and modified car culture. The Atherton Classic Car show is an Annual event held every year where a car is voted by the public the best on the day. All the cars on display are in various stages of condition, some still proudly wearing the rust and oil of time as a badge of hounor while others are so pristine you can see you face in the body and chromework.

Some displayed no more than the standard features they were fitted with the day they rolled off the manufaturers floor while others were heavily modified with lowered suspension, gigantic blowers, nitrous injection and modified interiors. There were also stalls for those who want to sell their surplus parts and those who wish to buy those rare spares for their cars at a reasonable price.

To finish off the show we had the obligitory Hot Dog and Coffee in a takeaway cup before heading back home.
