Day 16 / 2014 - Kalgoorlie

Yesterday we visted the Superpit again but this time we did a tour through the workshop and production areas. We visited the Workshop and stopped at 2 lookouts just above the mining area. We also went through the mill area. Our guide was very informative and quite knowledgable about the mine and its history.

We also visited one of the last 2 operating brothels in Kalgoorlie on Hay st. The madam conducted the tour and gave a often quite hilarious talk about the history of prostitution in Kalgoorlie. As were were leaving she reminded us what is said at the brothel stays at the brothel and others will have to come and find out for themselves.

Today is our last day in Kal. After much searching we finally found where the Golf course is so we could start our round of the Nullarbor links. Anne won the first hole and I won the second hole so we are even at this point in time. From there we went shopping to stock up for the next five days of travel then fuelled up and headed back to the caravan park. We spent the rest of the afternoon catching up on paper work an bill paying.

While here Andy caught up with us I think he is planning to try his luck at some work in Kalgoorlie. We are heading off tomorrow for Kambalda, Noresman then onto Frasers Range most likely stopping there overnight. Should take us about 5 days to cross the Nullarbor.
