Todays plan is to Drive from Benger to Tauton Park near Cowaramup where we will meet up with Bruce and Gina for a few days and giving us time to get ourselves into the routine of living on the road.
Before leaving Benger this morning we walk with the kids down to their bus stop and waved them off to school. The bus driver was kind enough to let us take photos as the kids boarded I think these photos will be used when comparing grandkids with other Grand parents at all the happy hours we will be attending as we travel around Oz. At least we can use them as ice breakers. A few more tears as they disapeared down the road then back to the house for breakfast before heading off about 9AM.
Traveling back through Bunbury started to make me appreciate the open road. It always seemed just as you were getting up to speed you would be slowing down for something... Overwidth Vehicle... train crossing... traffic lights... road works. We by passed Busselton and made our way to Cowaramup. About 5 kilometres from Tauton park more road works aagggh. Oh well without roadworks our roads would soon fall apart so its one of those things you deal with when your a Road Worrier... err I mean Warrior.
Arriving at Tauton Park we were efficently checked in by the friendly staff. You could see by the sites it had been a dry summer as previously when we had been here the sites were all green. We like this park as it is quite close to all the sights in the Yalingup / Margaret River region. Unfortunately we ended up parked next to the squeaking tree luckly the wind would drop during the night.
After setting up on site Anne choose the rest of the day to reorganise the van and catch up on some washing ect... Bruce and Gina arrived about 6:30PM where we caught up with a coffee for the rest of the evening before retiring for the day.
