We have been in Cowaramup for 3 nights now. Bruce and Gina arrived Thursday night and setup in the site next to us. Friday morning we went into town to purchase a few items and look around. We visited the bakery and suddenly I had cravings for a meat pie and since it was lunch time well who am I to resist. Bruce had to buy some bits for his van the trailer plug was heaverly corroded and required replacing.

We have visited this area many times before so there was really nothing new we wanted to see but it's hard to walk past the Candy Cow so in we went to check out the vast selection of sweets. We also visited the Gourmet shop next door to taste test the condiments my particlar favorite was the sweet Chilli sauce. Travelling back to the Caravan park we stopped in at the Cheese factory as we need some nibbles for the evenings happy hour. We of course had to taste test all the varieties before choosing... a smoked Dutch variety. We finished the evening with the obligatory happy hour then a BBQ tea at the camp kitchen.

Saturday was a lazy day, we went for a walk up to Oceans winery and booked in for a Sunday Lunch. Bruce and Gina had to go back into Cowarumup to pick up a fuse for their car and while they were there visited the bakery purchasing cream donuts and chocolate eclairs for morning tea. Back at the van we pulled out the Coffee machine for the first time and provided the expresso coffee when they arrived back. Sounded like a fair trade to us.

Sunday, Anne was doing couple of loads of washing, the first one went through okay but during the second load the washing machine decided to stop pumping water out at the end of the spin cycle. I though it might have been a blocked pump but didn't really relish the idea of pulling the machine out of its hidy hole to find out. I was able to loosen it enough so I could lower the hose and the water drained out. Sounds like it isn't blocked but we may have a faulty pump so will wait till monday to call the repairer for advice. The machines just over 12 months old so most likely wont be under warranty.

We lunched at Oceans Winery which is only walking distance from the park. Quite a nice place and reasonably priced, we all ended up having the fish and chips and a bottle of Rose to share. The meal was tasty and filling and the service was exellent. Walking back to camp we said goodbye to Bruce and Gina there were a few tears shared again.

Were not really sure what day we are leaving here. Although it has been windy and the temperature has been quite cool today, there was a change, the wind has dropped and the air has warmed up a little. Looking at the weather forecast there are storms expected in Kalgoorlie up untill Friday due to an ex tropical cyclone, so we think we might stay another day and pullout Tuesday. We are already starting to forget what day of the week it is had to look at a calendar to work out when Tuesday is.

Tonight I think we will watch MKR on the telly. There is also a Caravan DVD we want to finish we have made 3 attempts to watch but never getting to the end hopefully tonight we can finish it off. Anne has started her cross stitch I think her first attempt is something for Blake. She is enjoying it and hopefully it will help her to relax and also feel like she still has a connection with the grandkids.
