We left Cowarumup around 9am. The plan was to head to Bunbury, finish off any packing we hadn't completed, fuel up and grab some groceries. we were also going to catch up with the Browns as we hadn't seen them the day we had left. We also toyed with the idea of staying the night there and heading for Wave rock the next day but Anne hit on the idea she would like to catch up with Carla. Arriving in Bunbury we un-hitched the caravan in front of Mic and Carley's place we then went off shopping for groceries and fuel, returning within about an hour. We managed to catch up with Mr Brown but Mrs Brown was not at home. Saying goodby to Carley again we headed for Collie then onto Williams wher we turned right at Dyrandra then headed for Carla's place. After taking a number of wrong turns we foud the correct street. You will all be pleased to know the caravan is no longer a gravel road virgin as we had 14 kms of gravel to drive down. Fortunately the dust stayed on the outside with only a little bit getting inside near the door. Carla her partner John and Daughter Brittany live on a farm with a panoramic view over rolling hills. After we arrived, our next challange was to find a level piece of ground which was no mean feat since the house is built on top of a hill. Once we had found a spot and leveled the caravan, Anne and Carla spent the evening catching up over dinner. Leaving the house to retire for the night Carla said watch out for the snakes which promped Anne to leap on my sholders as we headed for the van. |
